Explore Santiago From These Two Luxury Hotels

Écrit par abadmin

Santiago is a spectacular city, with terrific museums, outstanding food and an awe-inspiring view of the Andes. Just steps from each other, the W Santiago and the Ritz Carlton offer two terrific lodging options. Below are highlights from each property.

The W Santiago

What could be more fun than a two-story rooftop bar, complete with a DJ and creative cocktails and local snacks? While the Red2One Bar comes to life after dark, the rooftop pool is an excellent place to enjoy the views and is open 24/7. The property boasts numerous, spacious public spaces to relax with your travel companions or to plug in your laptop if you need to spend a bit of time working. The W lounge has a fun vibe and if you want to work out, the O2Fit Wellness Club has state-of-the-art equipment and is a great place to meet locals.

At the W Hotel, the rooms are spacious and many of them have large outdoor terraces with mountain views. If you want to splurge, you can sign up for a “Fantastic” suite, a “Marvelous” suite, a “Wow” suite or an “Extreme Wow” suite. All rooms and suites are filled with art by Chilean artists, extremely comfortable beds and floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight the views.

Food is another bright spot at the W Santiago. The breakfast buffet is pretty spectacular, but this is also one of the few places where you can enjoy a “Night Brunch” on Friday night from 7-11 and get fueled up before a night out. For a truly spectacular meal, head to Karai. This cross-cultural themed restaurant is the place to enjoy Peruvian cuisine created with Japanese techniques, and Chilean ingredients. The tasting menu is highly recommended. For a French- influenced meal, try NoSo, where you can add to the fun by reserving a spot at the Chef’s Table.

The Ritz Carlton-Santiago

Just a few blocks away, you can experience a stay at the Ritz Carlton. The vibe here is a bit more formal. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of Chilean wine at the wood-paneled Lobby Lounge. The Estro restaurant serves “New Chilean Cuisine” and features sustainable farm-to-table ingredients, including outstanding local seafood.

One of the highlights of the property is the spacious, light-filled atrium that houses the hotel’s wellness center. You can experience the fully equipped gym or swim in the heated lap pool. It is also the perfect place for a coffee or a healthy snack. And the spa offers terrific treatments, including body scrubs and deep-tissue massages.

The newly redesigned rooms are decorated with a nod to the Chilean landscape and feature large windows with terrific city views. Of course, you can expect comfortable and spacious rooms that are ideal for work, as well as relaxing. If you splurge on a Club Level room, you can expect a dedicated concierge to help with all of your travel and business needs and an almost non-stop array of tasty meals and snacks. If you are traveling with kids, they will love the glass jars that are constantly re-filled with warm cookies and local candies.

Regardless of which property you choose, you can easily enjoy a meal, a drink, a massage, or teatime in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city.
