Xiaomi 13T Pro in for review

Xiaomi 13T Pro in for review

The Xiaomi 13T Pro is here and it’s a big improvement on its predecessor in every way that matters.

Upfront is a 144Hz-ready 6.67-inch AMOLED with a 2,600 nits peak brightness. Inside is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip with an Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU and 12GB or 16GB of RAM.

The 13T Pro ups the protection against elements from the barely counting IP53 of its predecessor to the actually formidable IP68.

The cameras are also better. The main unit scales down from 200MP to 50MP, but you get bigger binned pixels at 2.44µm, and even the ability to capture 10-bit LOG video with LUT support.

The bigger improvement is the addition of a dedicated zoom camera, albeit a modest 50mm one. There’s a 15mm ultrawide camera as well.

The T-series ace ships with a case, USB cable, and a 120W charger, matching its predecessor’s 19 minutes to 100% claim. The battery itself is a 5,000mAh unit that Xiaomi says will get you 17 hours of video playback.

You can get the Xiaomi 13T Pro in three colors – Alpine Blue, Meadow Green, and Black. Ours is the Blue one and it has a lovely Xiaomi BioComfort vegan leather on the glass back. Xiaomi seems to have softer vegan leather than its rivals and the 13T Pro is no exception.

We also have the Xiaomi 13T in the office (which we’ll unbox shortly). It’s the same size as the Pro but comes with a few downgrades to keep the price lower. The display, the battery, the IP68 rating, and the cameras are all the same. But the non-Pro has slower 67W charging and a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 with 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
